Do you drink like a fish?

Increase your water intake - Water is a key component to life on our planet. No living creature can survive without a fresh supply of water each day. If you do not consume enough water, your body will age faster, appear fatter, be more susceptible to germs and colds, lose joint mobility, and much more. Most people who weigh less than 150 pounds need to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day. A person who weighs between 150-250 pounds requires about 16 glasses per day, especially when exercising. I usually tell my clients drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces. I usually choose a distilled or reverse osmosis.

Challenge: My friends and I are setting our phones to remind us every hour to drink a glass of water (8-12oz) I carry a gallon and a glass in my car so i don't skip. Do it with us!!! Tell me how you feel after a week. See how much your body needs this precious gift from God.

A little hormonal are we...?

Hormonal factors come into play when trying to loose weight, some woman will loose their estrogen. That means less estrogen is converted to testosterone, which is crucial for muscle-building. "You will have to work harder [mostly when you are older] to maintain the same muscle mass." After the age of 30 start getting your hormones tested so you can get balanced, men should do this too!

Things around the the house to help you Lose weight

Tools for your weight loss
Here are three of many that can help you toward your goals.

Sticky notes

Motivate yourself: List five reasons for changing your eating habits (more energy, cuter clothes) on a sticky note or note card. Store it in your wallet or a better idea, post it on your fridge (or do both!); review it whenever you feel your resolve weaken. Also, put a photo on the refrigerator of what your goal is to look like. Whether its you or a picture of someone you look up to realistically.
Water bottle
Stay hydrated: We all know this...Research published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism shows that drinking about 2 cups of water increases your calorie burn by as much as 30 percent for more than an hour. If plain water is too boring, experiment with low-calorie add-ins such as lemon or lime peel, cucumber, mint or a splash of juice. Us a cool and safe water bottle, my favorite water bottles are Glass water bottles with plastic coating. I use a pretty Pitcher an  of water in my fridge with a PH stick (do your research) in it and I seem to drink more, don't know why but maybe its because its in glass and its cold and crisp.Who cares as long as you are drinking it.
Tall, skinny glass
Limit calories from drinks: When you’re sipping anything else besides water (I'm sure you wouldn't even thing of it), choose a tall, elongated glass rather than a short, stout one—you'll drink less without even thinking about it. People typically pour themselves more of a beverage when they use a small, wide glass.

On the Go Gluten FREE Yumminess Pasta Salad

Yummy Gluten FREE Pasta Salad
This one has been in my house for years. Everyone loves it, because you can as whatever ingredient that you desire. Everything below is Organic or Hormone FREE Products.
Here are some ideas:
Gluten Free penne or spiral noodles(multicolored makes it interesting to look at), one pound,
Tuna 3-5 cans or pouches (I like light albacore, it has less mercury) or chicken breast slices about 3-6 breasts cooked.
Veggies to add:
Olives, slices carrots, celery, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, shaved zucchini, tomato's, my FAV sun-dried tomatos broccoli, cauliflower, artichoke or any other veggie that makes you happy.
Other yumminess to add:
Chick peas
Shredded parmesan cheese, feta, mozzarella.
Dressing and spices:
Balsamic vinegar
Olive oil
And if you want it a tad creamy add some organic ranch dressing.
Onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, Himalayan sea salt
Starts with a teaspoon, add more if you like.
I always put about a ¼ cup of water to keep it juicy (pasta tends to soak up a lot of the juices so this helps keep it juicy)
This Pasta Salad tastes better the day after, because it allows all the spices and juices to soak in. Cant wait till you try it...let me know how you like it....yummmmmers…
