Have a pickle...


Wow!!! Today I went nuts and happened to eat a whole jar of pickles... But was it so bad ???      They are healthy!!!
Here are some benefits :
pickles are high in fiber, which is healthy for the digestive track and helps prevent cancer. pickles contain antioxidants and depending on the vegetable, are a great source of calcium, magnesium, and iron. When pickles are fermented, lactic acid is created which helps to lower fat in the bloodstream, improve circulation, and lower blood pressure. It has been found that eating fermented products regularly resulted in lower rates of skin problems, asthma, and auto-immune disorders. Vinegar, which is used in the pickling process is known to boost the immune system, ease digestive disorders, and can break down calcium deposits in a person's joints. Vinegar is also anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Try to get organic and keep your salt intake low if you happen to indulge like I do.  This just happens to be on the Dr. Oz show while I was writing this...I m not lying...Try pickles mixed with cottage cheese, its great!!!
